water leak arrgggh!

After sitting for about 4 months I finally took my ranger out for a drive, but noticed the passenger floor from front to back soaked, even the foam at the firewall was wet, the driver side is also wet. This thing sat with 2 or so feet of snow piled on it for some time. I have to get the carpet out before it begins to grow bacteria cause you know how wonderful that smells. So my question is has anybody experienced this, it was dry before I parked it in November.

upon further inspection I found a map I had on the visor damp, pulled the headliner down and found the corner damp, both corners of the A-pillar are rusted and looks like water has seeped through to the interior, all that snow sitting there must have been the cause.

Yep, I've got a rust spot like that also, need to get fixed on my 2000. Thankfully, don't think it's gotten in and done much damage yet. Got one on my 2003 that is just in the door area, can actually hear it dripping during a heavy rain. Could that be from the bottom door drains not being open or cleared enough? Wouldn't be the seals on top of the door I would think.

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like you might have some bodywork in your near future, or at least some new drip edge sealant.
