The cabs out west are considerably different even when left out in the elements. Here is one that I found last December in Rhyolite, NV just to the east of Death Valley (zoom in here https://www.google.com/maps?q=36.897...50454&t=h&z=17). Wood and plastic don't fare well but the rust is significantly less than what we have back east.
