New rear floor pan assembly for 48-52

Complete Floor Pan Assembly | Dennis Carpenter Ford Restoration Parts

That is sweet but expensive. Mine covers all but the back about 6-8 inches for less than half what that one costs and it goes all the way to the firewall and 2 tunnel pieces also has patch for under floor master cylinder if needed.

Thanks for posting! Would be great for someone whos whole floor is shot, or that wants to get rid of a channel job or something.

I don't think $600 is a bad price but shipping would be a killer on a part that big. The only thing that might save on the shipping is to meet a Carpenter retailer at a show someplace.

It is a nice piece, but it's just the beginning. Dennis told me he plans to have an entire cab available within the next couple of years!

It's hard to believe there's enough of a market for reproduction complete cabs to justify the tooling expense when there's so many good, solid originals around that we can't hardly give away.

You must not be looking at Craigslist. Man, I'veseen some real junk on there with prices in the $500+, range. Not saying tthey're getting it, but some of the sellers really the have some valuable rust.

That's interesting news. For the love of peace and happiness here in the FTE world, let's hope he doesn't call it "Genuine Ford".

As you're well aware, Bob, it's all about 'location, location, location.' In my neighborhood, old iron is a lot nicer than back east or the mid west. But if someone is willing to ship a cab from DC to all points unknown, they might just as easy pick up a good used one from the west or southwest and save a bunch of money.

if you need a complete cab floor, the one might be an option. i wasn't aware of anyone re-popping the rear sections. the idea of shipping a good cab from a dry region is very appealing. the cost of new panels and the time add up quickly.

Like I said, some of the junk I've been seeing on Craiglist is appalling. Even by our upper Midwest, rust belt standards the stuff is junk and they're asking $500, and more, a lot more. I know is still better iron out there, it's just hard to believe it's so hard to sell solid, rust free parts. People are funny though, they never seem to calculate the time and effort and the quality of the end product when finding a nice part in another part of the country. There are ways to ship larger items somewhat cheaply, you just have to be creative.

I would think shipping this new piece would be almost as much as shipping an entire solid cab. Maybe half as much but then again you're going to have to do a lot of work to install that piece in your rusty cab. If your cab is bad enough to need this piece that probably means your cab has a lot of other problems that need fixing. Just a lot of work that can be eliminated by buying a solid used cab.

You never know where you'll get a good lead. I need to replace more of the floor of my '79 F150 then the other pans cover, but these might work.
