I still suspect headgaskets. I would pressure test again.


Let it sit with the 16 lbs on the system for a bit.

Look at my posts around late 2013. There is one on how to check the head gaskets. You can also find it on line. Google POWER STROKE HELP. Short version is plumb a water pressure gauge into the coolant return hose and run the truck hard. If pressure goes over 16lbs and there are no leaks the HG failed. I towed my 17 k pound trailer from GA to MT and back with mine blown and all i did was keep adding coolant. Its really hard to tell. Hope this helps.
