I need help please

Hey everyone,

I have a 1968 F100 240 I6. Every time I buy something for my truck it doesn't seem to be the right part. I just ordered a new radiator for it from LMC Truck and the outlet is on the wrong side. I called them and they said all there paper work says the inlets on the passenger side and the outlet is on the drivers side. Both my inlet and outlet are on the passenger side. Can anyone help me decode my truck? The VIN is F10ARD17686. Any information would greatly be appreciated.

Thank You
Justin

what are the dimensions of the radiator? Many of us with the i6's have trouble finding the proper radiator without going to an aluminium.
I have the 300 with the HD large radiator. If you have the big one I can get you the #'s off mine if it would help.

These are roughly the same dimensions for all 1967/79 F100/350 I-6 & V8 standard/xtra cooling/A/C radiators.

The Super Cooling radiator is 26 1/4" wide x 24 1/4" high, has a HUGE top tank that is wider and deeper than the other radiators.

Super Cooling radiator uses a different radiator support than the other radiators, as it has a larger opening radius.

1967/72 radiator supports are different than 1973/79.

Radiator pictured in post #2 is not a Super Cooling, as its top tank is too small.

Mine is the full size opening and not the smaller. The radiator may not be the super cooling as far as the tanks but it is not the small one either.

visible vent measurements are about 26 3/8inch across, 19 1/8 inch tall, and almost 2 inches deep. The mounting bolt holes are 28 1/2 across and 11 inches apart vertically.

This is the one that was replaced with what is in it now.

I owned a radiator shop for 20 years and I never saw one with a 6 cylinder and the hoses on opposite sides, they were all on the same side that I remember, that's how we told the difference between 8 and 6.

Have you tried taking it to a radiator shop and getting it repaired? I might be even be cheaper than replacing it.

I just went through all this about 2 weeks ago. Blew my radiator and couldn't find the right replacement. But I have a v8

What you might need is either
A: 433433 that's a plastic aluminum 2core
Or modify
B: 433444 that's a 3core brass and copper. But it has the wrong mounting brackets.

Go online and look at these part numbers
433433 433444 433132 433318
One of those should be close to what you have now.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Im waiting on the call from LMC to see what they say. Ill definitely look into those part numbers 351Cleveland C4. Gembone, I was looking into it but there is alot of small leaks in different spots on the tubes and the tanks. EricJ, they told me this morning that all there paper work showed that the outlet was on the opposite side.

Thanks Justin

Here's a diagram for a 71/72 six cylinder, it has the inlet and outlet on opposite sides. I don't know if a 68 is different or not.

I think the upper can be on either side. The lower has to be on the passenger side.
