82-85 Fifth Ave Front Clip

Hello
Am looking for a front suspension for my 56 F100, there seems to be more Fifth Ave's out there than Volaries does the front end off the Fifth ave the same as the Volaries
Also is there any oil pan interference putting the 390 in 56 F100.
Thanks for the info, looking forward to getting started on this project.
Ken

It's Volare, no such thing as a Votare.

I've got a Volare sub/clip you can have, just come and get it. It's mounted under my 53 F100. It was bolted in, rather than welded like it should have been, so it's just a matter of taking it off and putting it one your frame. I ended up buying an entire new frame rather than mess with it.
The frame it's on was bent from a side impact before the PO even started with the Volare sub. I'll never understand some people way of doing things.
As for the 390 fitting, I'm pretty sure it will. Mine has a 289 in it now, and looking at the 390 in my 69 Galaxie, I'd imagine there isn't much difference, as it relates to the oil pan. The Galaxies came with 289's as well that year.

If you are interested, shoot me a PM, and give me a week to get everything ready.

Actually, there is such a thing. It means "to Vote" in Italian.

The older 5th avenues were the same as dodge and plymouth so I would bet the ones your asking about are too. The big diff. was some of the 5th avenues had 318 and a little heaver torson bars and larger brakes

I have a 1970 LTD front clip and a 429 in my 56. Fits with no problem.

I'm sure there was at least one Italian on The Mayflower, and I bet he voted at least once.

But I never saw it.

Actually. all the 5th Avenues up to 1989 will work. I've used an 83 and an 87. You may or may not have to offset the engine up to two inches to the passenger side to clear the steering box but the 56 is wider than the 48-52. I've used a Chevy 350 and a Ford 302 and neither had any oil pan interference. Don't know about the 390...

I used the Dodge Diplomat front suspension, same as what you are thinking about and like said only difference is the larger donor cars usually had bigger brakes and torsion bars.
