5 Star vs Hot Rod Shop tune
So I called my local hot rod shop about tuning my 2009 v10. They want 750 to reconfigure the computer (?).
I asked them if they do multiple tunes (i.e. economy, tow, performance)
They said that if it is set up properly on the dyno, that I will be the best for anything I want it to be.
It is a very reputable shop here in Detroit, and they do lots of performance work for the Big 3. But it seems like it might not be best for my situation (i.e. its a driver, tows camper and sports car all in one.)
Also, which ever option I choose. Is there anything that these trucks need before that? Like exhaust or intake? I am switching from 17 to 18 rims soon but that about it.
Thanks guys

Try calling 5* tuning. With the 3v V10 you will get moderate gains for around 450$. Exhaust is really just noise, and intakes are only really important if you decide to camm the motor. Your best bet would be a tune and gears. If your planning on putting 35s or anything larger gears would keep the power where it needs to be.
