Probably the steering column, has a GM column. Had to modify lower dash a bit, couple universal's and works good. And the firewall. Distributor cap was hitting firewall. I cut out firewall and made a new one with a indentation for easier access to cap, distributor.

I seem to recall you putting a 300 inline 6 in your 58 mercury, that's not original

had to be different- I am a GM guy, so had to put some GM into the old Ford!!

Congratulations. Big difference between starting a project like that and finishing it. Nice job! Did I read that right... Several years on this? Holy cow! Got any before and progress pics?

I agree. My 60 F-100 is powered by a Twin Turbo 472 Cadillac with a B&M Switch Pitch trans.

Swapping frames is tough! Did you have to raise the bed floor? Steering column and e-brake on mine were pretty tricky also.

No, just modified the cab mounts, then added a lowering kit to the rear suspension. I used the e brake from the gm.
