Air Lift Compressor Pooped Out...Upgrade?

Hey all,

I have a Air Lift Air Bags in my truck. The compressor finally took a poop on me after 8 years of service. So my question is I wanted to upgrade the system to add a tank and perhaps a Viair pump. So I found a kit that I think will work and was wondering what everyone thinks...

Its a Air Lift 25572 comes with the tank, gauge, and what looks like a Viair compressor but all it says is a Heavy Duty Compressor.

The main reason I'm looking to add a tank is that I would like to be able to air up or down tires, set tire pressures, and air up my air bag in my 5er hitch.

what's everyone's thoughts on this? Am I on the right path here?

Compare that Air Lift kit with some Viair kits. Its over priced compared to the VIAIR kits...

Lets compare...

Air Lift 25572
Price: $459.99
CFM: .87
PSI: 100
Duty Cycle: 33%
Tank Size: 1

VIAIR Ultra Duty 20001
Price: $422.99
CFM: 1.76
PSI: 200
Duty Cycle: 100
Tank Size: 2.5 Gallon

I just had this Airlift wirelessONE kit installed and so far it's been great...

I also had the run a line out the back next to the lic plate so I could attached my coiled air hose and air up rv tires, trailair pinbox, and truck tires... Haven't tried it but promised it would do all that....

oh, and there's a rebate thru the end of the month.

good luck !

That's the same pump on the wireless kit that I have on mine...the problem with it is it has no reserve because there is no tank. I think that may be why mine went bad.

So really I only need the tank and compressor, I may look into that Viair kit. Where did you pull that from?

I may pull the trigger on the air lift kit I posted since I have a $35.00 coupon, and with the rebate that will put me right around 375, I just wish the tank were a little bigger and the compressor was a 100% duty cycle. But this will be better than what I have now.

Just curious where you found the Viar Kit?

I would get the Viair kit. It has a better duty cycle AND better flowrate. If you use the air setup with and regularity I think you'll appreciate that

If you only use it occasionally, then the cheaper unit will work

You can buy parts and pieces on our site instead of complete kits if needed. Also, the pricing on our site is list price. We have a dealers page that lists local retailers as well as online retailers. Typically the online dealers have the best pricing. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Who makes your compressor, and is there a bigger tank available than 2 gallons. The viair system is tried and true which is another reason Im looking at it plus the bigger tank is a bonus as well.
