Odd noise when hubs locked in

Previouse work done withing 1yr
Front end: ball joints u-joints, tie rods, gear lube

So the first few days everything running great, then I noticed this chirping noise, then it went away. Then yesterday it's started again. It only does it with the front hubs locked in(2h or 4h doesn't make a difference just locking the hubs)
It's seems to be louder at lower rpms (but that could be a result of the loudness of the truck at higher rpms) then when I push in the clutch the noise slows and quits, once I pop the clutch it does it again. As mentioned before it doesn't matter if it is in 2h or 4h, the hubs just have to be locked in. Possible hub/hubs goin out or what I don't have a clue, I'm a learn as I go type of mechanic. Lol

Thanks in advance for any help. FTE rocks!!!

By pushing in the clutch and the noise slows and quits, do you mean as the truck slows down, like coasting to a stop? Is the noise consistent with the wheel speed of the truck?

Maintaining speed 30mph, push clutch in and noise quits, chirps a couple times and stops. Vehicle maybe drops 2mph.

The noise does seem to be in relation with wheel speed. Faster wheel speed = short fast chirping. Slower wheel speed = more drawn out chirp. Almost sounds like a squealing belt

It sounds to me like the double Cardon joint self centering yoke or the universals in the front drive shaft. Either get down there and Drop the front shaft out of it then drive with hubs locked in and see if you still hear it, or wiggle on the driveshaft and see if you have any play in the joints. That self-centering joint will be a real fast chirp since the drive shaft is spinning about 4 times as fast as the wheels. That's my somewhat educated (or at least experienced) WAG.

I was thinking it was something with that front driveshaft, but doesn't it only spin when you shift it into 4 wheel drive??

It spins anytime the hubs are locked.

Yeah Check thanks for clearing that up.
I drove it to the store this morning hubs locks and in 4h and nothing. I will take it to work and get it inside the shop where it's dry and check out that driveshaft tomorrow after work. It never fails, I always get then peek a boo problems. Now you hear me now you don't. Wth
