Anyone using Moble 1 in the 6.2

I have let the dealer do my oil changes so far - they have been running a special that includes oil (Syn-Blend) filter and tire rotation that costs $34.72 out the door including NJ sales tax. How could I beat that ?
If/when their specials disappear I will do the service myself - but for now it's just not worth it to do it myself. I have the oil changed every 5,000 miles

No, I have business that brings me back down around Mount Holly so I coordinate my schedule and have had it done at Miller Ford on Route 38 where I bought the truck - so far the service dept has been great. Ditschman and most dealers have the same deal though - a deal called "the works" lists for 39.95 - a $10.00 mail in rebate which Miller takes care of so like I said I paid the $34.72 out the door with the syn blend oil and a tire rotation. I do not mind working on my own vehicles - but sometimes it just makes sense to pay someone else to do it. The tires and wheels on these trucks are anything but light and while I'm not afraid of work - when ya get up past 60 - things start feeling even a little heavier.
Plus they enter it into the FORD computer system so there is never a question if the proper service has been done.

Here in Vancouver, BC, the "works" goes for 69$ with 5 quarts of oil. Add another 6$ for 2 more quarts of conventional oil and I ended up paying 90$ cad for an oil change and tire rotation. The free service loaner was nice but I'll be doing future changes myself with my good old Mobil 1 bought at Wal Mart for 24$ for 4 quarts

Not in the 6.2 yet(after 10k miles it will be changed to full synthetic), but in all my other vehicles I go 10k with Wix filters with synthetic oil(not Mobil 1, I don't think it makes a difference on brand though) between changes. I have yet had one fail due to oil related issues. Some of my hotshot gas trucks have gone over 400k miles, all hit the 300k mark without much issue.
