I wonder if there was a family member thinking they were going to inherit the bike...

I know!! that was one of the first things that crossed my mind when I started reading the article.

Oh well, to each his own. Its pretty cool that the old guy liked to ride and enjoyed it until the end. My dad is 72 and he still gets out and rides his bike with my brother and I.
Its always a good time.

There used to be grave robbers that stole jewelry and gold teeth, there may be some that might be interested in a Harley

That was my first thought when I saw this. I hope the cemetery has good security.
My grandfather used the pit in his garage to bury his 65 Panhead when he went out of town. He'd lower it in, put the planking over it, then park a car on it and let the air out of the tires, LOL!

I've had a couple of Harleys and been around my share of Bikers, so I do understand. However, like any thing else in this life, they are just "stuff", and are meant to be left behind, leave it to the kids. Just my 2c

I agree with Jimmy there. They are just stuff. Iv'e had quite a few bikes I was very fond of, but I wouldn't want to be buried with them. Don't they know there's all kinds of Harleys in heaven? Not to mention the added cost of putting that big box in the ground. Maybe he had the extra bucks to compensate.

They showed a video of it on my local news. It so strange to see the guy on the bike traveling down the road with his eyes closed!! I know he's dead but its so odd.
