Im wanting to put a B & M T-handle in but its not splined so im gonna grind the splines off the shifter then thread it and beadblast it and paint it black again. Can anyone tell me how to get just the stick out of the tranny it is a Mazda 5 Speed in a 95 F-150.

Remove the 4 philips head screws that hold the shift boot to the floor, Under the boot is 2 bolts that hold the shifter to the tranny.

 

2 bolts on a ZF,
A Mazda has one bolt like the crank pin on a bicycle. You remove the nut then screw it on the other end of the bolt to pull it out.
