I have $15k on my reg cab as well. Crew is a different story..... Was wondering if I was crazy for insuring them for what I decided on but that's close to what I have in it. My crew is a different story, I have less in it than what I have it insured for but its worth a whole lot more, at least it is to me. Where I live IF you find a dent for sale you wouldn't want it. Last month I saw a 76 F250 sitting in town with a for sale sign in the window. Thought it would make a good winter driver. Stopped and looked at it...... The flat bed looked like it was made from old pallets, it had a super rough interior, the hubs were mismatched and I could have put my ipad in the cab corners BEFORE cutting out the rust and it had $3500 on it. Around here they are getting super hard to find and worth their weight in gold when you do.

I did not have the right kind to have this repair needed covered by it. I only had liability, UIM, med, BUT NO comp and collision, other wise it would of covered it.
Yes it not that bad....but its not your truck either.
I now have it.... ON BOTH and I have a even more huge dislike for insurance companies, and there twisted word ways.
After I fix it it WILL have full coverage, or antique auto insurance. Meaning it will get a actual appraisal and not a KBB value.
Also if your house and auto is from the same company (bundle deal) make sure they do not some how cancel each other out????
So when one piece of your personal property damages another piece of your personal property it is still covered.....
I am still trying to get this figured out, and still have a messed up truck.

Has anybody looked into the insurance companies that only do classics? I have seen the commercials on PowerBlockTV but for the life of me I cannot remember the name. I would imagine that they would give a more accurate value for classics and may cost less for full coverage.
EDIT:
I found the commercial! The insurance company is called Hagerty.

Full coverage at stated value of $20K based upon appraisal. Problem is that if you read your policy, "stated value" is not guaranteed and the policy reads "stated value" or Actual cash value which is the problem. I am going to get a quote from Hagerty classic insurance as they will provide a "guaranteed" value based upon appraisal or agreed upon value. Makes a HUGE difference.
