Wait until you get your brand new shiny engine and the injectors are still loud, it’s just the way it is with this engine. As loud as they are, the 750cc injectors I installed on my Subaru WRX were louder. It’s a huge, strong mechanical thing made of metal, it’s going to be loud. Speaking of loud, have you heard your fan fire up yet??!!

Ouch yeah that fan.... sounds like a Chinook under the hood

The injectors are incredibley loud I admit... but this racket I'm hearing sounds like a flat lobe on the camshaft or some spring cap slack...something is loud enough in the rear driver side of the compartment to be heard in cab and it stands out... and I escalates with engine rpm amd is louder at idle that any other time.....

Its strange

I remember before it started making this noise I made note of the loud fuel system and fan.... as well as the ridiculous 5 inch valence under the bumper.... took two trips out to feed the cattle and it was thrashed and cracked so i removed it and these obnoxious brackets that where behind it.

Update,

No engine needed! they found a loose Cab plug of somesort causing the racket.... i pick it up today and will give a better explanation after i have driven this truck myself... i was absolutely convinced it was mechanical racket.

.... bummed out a little bit that im not going to get those free services. going to ask for them anyways

wow, that's a long way from being an injector! But I'm glad for you and for 6.2 owners in general. You know how problems get blown out of proportion on the internet. Couple guys have a ticking noise, next thing you know it's the 6.0 diesel all over again Just kidding. Say, is it my imagination, or do I remember another member here having some trouble with the body pucks?
