One more disc brake swap question.......

I'm about ready to swap discs onto the'65 F100.....I have a '78 F150 for a donor. I know I can swap the entire axle assemblies, but is it possible to just swap the disc brake parts onto the '65 spindles? My axles and king pins are in really nice shape and the donor's not so much.
A search here didn't turn up an answer....only info about swapping spindles.

im pretty sure the spindle is 1/8 inch taller on the later setups. so yes they will bolt to your axles, but not with your kingpins. and your steering linkage will not work with the newer spindles, ask me how i know...

Yes I know. What I am asking is can I keep my '65 axles AND spindles and just use the later disc brake stuff on them?

You must use a disc brake spindle. I would think twice about reusing old kingpins as well. Do it right the first time and have no worries.

Swap the complete setup, you will not regret it.
