Question 96 front bumper to 90 front end

Hi, I want to know if it is posible to mount a 96 bumper to a 90 front end. I want to do it because my brother has a spare after market bumper off his 96 F250HD.
My bumper is bent in on the driver side. I want to know what has to be modified.
My truck is a 1990 F250.

Well the '96 bumper will be curved in a quite a ways before it gets to the outsides, whereas the '90 bumper will be straight towards the outer edges. This would be the stock bumpers anyway. That's all I got to say.

The frames were changed between your trucks: the '90 is a straight frame and the '96 has the crumple zone built in. Not sure if the mounting points stayed the same, get out your tape measure.

Of course, "fits" and "looks good" are two different things. Get a piece of cardboard and cut out a match to the '96. Hold it up to the '90 and see what it looks like.

Brad is right. I see more value in a well-fit bumper than a later model ill-fit bumper.

That was what i was thinking it would be. I have ideas to make a bumper but right know i don't have money to buy steal for it. The bumper would be a temp bumper.

What do you mean about doing that.

Cut a pattern to see if the the new bumper matches the old body lines closely enough for you.

I agree with Brad also. The bricknose bumpers are straight across, the 96 will be curved along the entire bumper. It'd look out of place on there.

Sell the 96 bumper... buy the right one for your bricknose.
