Your truck looks great for it's age. With a name like the 'green machine' you never know. I hadn't seen coil springs over a rear axle before. They help with heavy loads and towing?

i think my milage is at about 163,000 now. im on my 2nd trans (lost 2nd gear syncro @ 80K) 3rd clutch set (1st when changed trans, 2nd set at 152K las nov when the slave started leaking bad) many sets of brakes, motor has never been into, replaced a fuel rail gasket and valve cover gaskets but just change the oil and keep up with things. the coil overloads are neat things to have, i have about a inch of clearance when unloaded, so my empty ride is "stock" and not too harsh. with about 200-300 pounds the frame is onto the coils and i have the extra capacity. 3/4 ton ranger! lol. not really, but at least i shouldnt be dragging the rear mudflaps!
the name "green machine" come from a toy i had as a child, back in the 70's there was this 3-wheeled toy , like a "big-wheel" but it used the rear axle to steer, and to had levers instead of a handlebar like the big wheel... i'll see if i can find a link or picture to post of that...
...and here it is!......----> http://www.skooldays.com/categories/toys/ty1349.htm

Very nice little Ranger! I just sold a 94 with a 4.0 that I had for what seemed like forever. That truck never failed to start, but I did my share of slaves. Wouldn't have been so bad if they weren't inside the trans!

Thanks.

And the name makes a lot of sense knowing the history.
