heater

You have the magic air option. Take care of it and they work great. Many others are looking for just such and option to retrofit on their 59. The wheel is the custom cab steering wheel and horn ring also much desired. Looking forward to watching your build.

did some surgery today. pulled off the rot and making my own floor pans. I went to the junk yard and pulled a section of a truck bed off to use as stiffeners and to give a factory look. I have not yet cut and welded them in yet.Name: IMAG0217_zpsxfjnlpmx.jpg

I made a paper template before cutting out the new steel. I pre drilled the holes to spot weld and cut some groves for the area that the bolt will go to mount the cab. I will hammer it down and make it round. then use a bolt and washer to complete the dimple.Name: IMAG0219_zpsnk2ldzrg.jpg

Well i have one side in not fully wended yet but solid. I removed the rust on the passenger side today. I hope to have both side done this weekend. I am going to spray lizerd skin the inside to deaden the sound and give it a strong finish. I will then paind the dash and other sections that are to be kept nice.

I found a lot of extra rust and there are not any aftermarket parts. I decided to fabricate the section not knowing if I could. It turned out fairly good. I will smooth out the welds and will looks almost factory.

Thanks. I just love doing this stuff. I just sold a custom rifle to buy a bunch of parts then my truck I drive dumped oil out the rear end. Just my luck.

And you're truly ambitious in your passion. Are you a bodyman by trade?

No. I am in construction but I love to tinker. I have built / restored a 43 ford jeep and I built a Manx style off road buggy. I have one goal and that is to work on the truck every day. I get maybe 1 hour a day until the week end. I cant wait for daylight savings time. Thanks for the complements.

I know nothing about the options. I figured it was just a regular truck..
