These are my real world latest mpg numbers. This week my wife and I took a trip to the mountains for a 3 day get away
My truck is a 13 F150 screw with Max tow, 3.73 axle and ecoboost. The trip from Edmonton to Jasper at 118 kph averaged 12.3 ltr/100km. Or 22.96 mpg. That's imperial gallons as opposed to the smaller US gallon.
My son and his wife did the exact same trip two weeks earlier in his 12 F150 screw with 5.0 and 3.55 axle. Option wise our trucks are nearly identical except for year and powertrain. His speed also about 118 kph and his average mileage was 12.4 ltr/100km. So the two trucks under very similar circumstances produces nearly identical mileage.
I thought some might find this interesting because we seem to kind of stumble upon a pretty close comparison.
Something else I could add is speed plays a big part of these highway numbers. On the trip my wife and I took, we went on past Jasper and onto Valemount, BC. Speed limits are lower to 100 kph and as a result my mileage improved to 11.4 ltr/100km or 24.77 mpg imperial.
I'm quite happy overall with the mileage for a full size half ton pickup.

For a conversion. The 24.77 mpg imperial is the same as 20.63 mpg US.

2012 Crew Cab Platinum Ecoboost

Evening All,

Thought I would chime in considering I'm new to the F150 threads and EcoBoost world. Bought a 2012 Platinum EB right before Labor Day Weekend with 34k on the clock. As far as I know, its got 3.55's according to the window sticker I downloaded with the VIN. I need to check the door axle code to be sure. It has a leveling kit, and Nitto Terra Grapplers on the stock rims, so I'm sure I'm not helping my mileage with either of those features.

Traded off an 04 Navigator Ultimate 4x4, which was getting 13.5-14.5 to and from work, and a max of 16.5 on long highway trips. Coming home from the Dealer with the truck I got 18.5-19 for about 100 miles, which I was pretty happy about. Speedo was off by about 5% with the bigger tires at cruising speed, so actual mileage may be a bit better.

To and from work, I've been getting Mid 15's pretty consistently for the last 3 weeks. Its only about 12 miles to work, with 5 stop signs, so I'm not really surprised. It doesn't seem like the EB warms up very quickly, and it is hard to stay out of the throttle on acceleration.

So far I'm very pleased with the truck, but I haven't started making payments on it yet

Nice report! I actually find it the opposite...my truck warms up quick. Maybe it's because I am in Cali and the temps outside are not below 55 degrees yet in the am...but I have always thought it warmed up quick regardless. By the way...pics of the truck? Oh and welcome to the forum!

I have heard a few people say that the EB doens't warm up very quickly. I haven't owned mine through a winter yet, but one's coming, so I'll know soon enough.
I have been debating putting a remote starter in my truck anyway, maybe this is the excuse I needed.

'13 5.0 STX 4x4, 128" wheelbase w/3.55 gears. I have been averaging between 14.6-15.4 mixed driving...I have a 2.2 mile commute to work, sometimes a lunch trip, plus 4 or 5 days a week I go across town, mostly highway to the tune of about 22 miles each way. I am very liberal with throttle input, and do my best to get it sideways on a daily basis. Just filled up yesterday, and I must have been behaving myself, because I calculated 16.0 mpg.

The week after I got my truck, I took a road trip from here to Deltona, on the way down with just an empty open equipment trailer, and the way back with a ~2800lb car on the trailer...maybe 5k or so combined load. At 60 mph on the highway, with alittle bit through town, managed about 14mpg if I remember correctly.

2012 Platinum EB

Hello all,

Thought I would check in. I've only filled up 3 times since buying the truck, so my numbers are a little short sided. I reset the Trip B average when I bought the truck and am using that for my lifetime mileage. Thus far, it reads 15.8 MPG, and I've seen as high as 18 on 45 mile road trips, but the short trips to and from work kill my mileage.

I use the Android Mileage App, and I'm showing Max- 15.67, Min- 14.95, and Average- 15.33 MPG. My speedo is still off by about 5%, so these numbers are reporting low. Still better than my Navigator 4V was though.

I have a 725 mile round trip jaunt to St. Louis this weekend, so I'm going to have Trip A clock the whole thing and see what I end up at. I haven't taken it out on any longer trips yet, so we shall see.

I have a 20' open trailer that weighs about 1,500 lbs and my car about 3,500 lbs. I get 12 to 14 MPGs towing it on the highway. Towing the enclosed trailer drops me down about 4 more MPG's. Since I don't want to see my gas mileage when towing I choose a different display.

Well took the platinum to St. Louis this weekend. 698 miles, average 16.4 mpg on the whole trip by the computer. The trip there I only got 15.8, so I must have been getting about 17 on the way home. This is all with the Speedo 5% off still.

I think the leveling kit and tires are really killing me on mileage. Cant decide if i want to find a set of OEMs or not. Will probably wait till after winter with the Nittos on.

1300 miles on 5.0
12mpg in town, city traffic of sitting at lights more than moving, stop light to stop light, never above 35 mph for more than 1 mile. But much better than v10 that got 7-8 same roads. Road trip two weeks to Florida.

I've said it in other threads, but man, I REALLY like your truck. I think the trend of everyone getting lift kits is way overdone.
Cool that you are gettign good mileage too.
