I agree with you. Pumps are different and can vary. I went to my new local chevron station and filled up a 1 gallon can. The pump was on the mark. For me to get the most accurate numbers I always use that local chevron station and I use the number 6 pump every time. I normally fill up on the way to work so at 6 am there is no one there. That way I fell I get the most accurate numbers. And when It clicks I am done.

20.1 with rush hour traffic in, no traffic on return.....definitely seems to get better mpgs with less than half a tank a gas

 

Came back from a trip to the wineries in Upstate NY and am satisfied with this mileage on my EB, 3.73's and Max Tow. We had 4 adults and a pretty full bed of stuff up and down the mountains with a lot of stop and go.

I reset the trip meter before the trip and the cruise was set to 70-75.

 

20 something past couple of days.....17.1 today with heavy traffic both ways,AC running on return trip as well

 

first official mini trip today from Glendale AZ to Flagstaff AZ.....307.7 miles roundtrip 19.4 mpg

 

22.8 today on daily commute lighter traffic....actually hit 24 for a second on the commute in

 

A trip to see my daughter in college last Sunday netted me 19.5 round trip doing 75-80 half flats and half mountains.

 

Just got my new '13 XLT SCrew last week. Have about 1200 miles on it in the last week. Average 19.1 since I picked it up, got 19.6 Thursday on a 450 mile run half 70mph, half 55mpg, some small towns and 1 city and rolling hills of Iowa to contend with. Mine is a 3.31 4x4. Really happy with it so far.

if I could post from my phone I was driving through California (longest most deadest section of road I have ever run) with 1600 LBS of ice-cream maker in my bed doing 75 MPH and getting 22.4 MPG ill see if I can get the video to up load!

 

Just ordered a F150 w the 5lt.and Hd payload Pkg.Put a sm. pop camper in it. Looking at this thread, I am encouraged as i am trading in my 06 SD w 5.4lt. mileage not good 9 to 14 mpg depending on load and wind direction. Any advise on the 5 lt? Thanks ken
