Seat pad upgrade!

I went to the dealer to get new front seat pads for my 03 Navigator. When they arrived the pads didn't match the bolsters on one of them were way higher by a little over an inch. The big bolster pad was miss packaged and made for an 03-06 Expedition (i though the pads would have been the same?) Anyway I fitted both pads and the expedition makes the seat way more comfortable and fits the stressed out leather very nice. the Navigator pads are very flat bolstered. I'll try to post before and after pics of the seats and pads.
I have the Engineering numbers off the bottom of the seat if anyone is interested. Highly recommend the Ex pads if your in the market.

yea there a blower under the seat that heats and cools. the pads have a cut away in the center that allow the air to flow through.

I would appreciate pics if you get a chance... I have to deal with this issue and being able to get the foam from an expy increases the chances of a decent price.

Speaking of price, how much did they cost you? The wife had been bugging about doing the pads in her Expy.

the pads were $301.80 each from Ford. They do have a nice Military discount if you are eligible. The parts guy said the Expedition pads are a little cheaper, I'll let you know there price when I get the new one this week.

Thanks. Sounds like you ordered a Expy pad to use instead of the Navi pad you originally ordered. Post up the part numbers since you'll have Expy pads on both sides. Thanks again for the info.

I should have the part number tomorrow. All I have from the seat was the engineering number, I guess there different. I put a few of the pics in my profile album sorry not to computer savvy. You wish i had a before and after with the cover on the pads because the old pad was so unsupported it really took a toll on the leather.

I couldn't agree more, but shelling out an extra $300 for covers on top of the pads isn't about to happen. Its not a show truck, justa family hauler.

Just wanted to say thanks for posting photos of the seat foam for the Expedition and the Navigator. The foam in our new Navigator is wearing out, and apparently wasn't cheap to begin with and is now obsolete. So I will pick up an Expedition pad and use that instead.

Would love some good pictures of this.. I actually got a new driver side seat pad for our 04 Navi at a cost of somewhere over $200 (I got one off Ebay). There are aftermarket Expi pads that are much less expensive and perhaps better quality but the suppliers told me that Expedition pads won't fit a Navi. I would like a little more definition in the seat so I'd be curious to see how this looks.
