Long Live Aerostars!!!!

I decided to visit this website today. I don't recall when I became a member, however, I do recall that some of the posts were very helpful. I have a '94 aerostar 4.0L-AWD. I bought this thing for $300.00 back in Feb '04. I took a train from Lake Tahoe to Minnesota. The folks in MN were very kind. Also, I very much enjoyed the train trip. I could drag this story out but, let's cut to the chase. I've owned this van for 10years. It has some rocker panel rust now. I've done maintenance and repairs (many new parts from wrecking yards for pennies on the dollar). It has been a pleasure to own. I've never been stranded. In the snow it acts like a tank. It is comfortable to drive. The mileage doesn't impress me although the tradeoff of reliability and functionality is well worth it. I just wanted to say thank you to some of the members that have been around quite a while. Your tireless donations of knowledge have helped more than you can imagine. I am here to say 'thank you' for your help. Happy New Year 2014 to all of us Ford owners. I was attacked by my Mopar friends back in 1973 when I had a '66 Ford Falcon 289 - 4speed, that I turned into a street rod. May all of you contributors be blessed for all the help you have offered.....Rick

Dittos to everything Rick (T2me2) said... I just sold my '94 Aerostar 4.0-AWD that I've owned here in NJ for 8 years! She came to me broken down and forlorn, but the motor never needed anything more than plugs and wires, and the trans never needed anything more than a replacement modulator to keep the trans fluid out of the engine's crankcase... I put nearly 50K miles on the 205K she came with. I sold her running strong, and quite a bit rustier to someone needing a short-term work van. I'm now an E-150 owner... still needing help time-to-time on FTE!
