Ignition cylinder removal challenge
The old ignition cylinder won't turn to the accessory position, and the driver's side door cylinder dosen't match. So I got a new set. Of course today I figured out I need to turn the cylinder to acc position to line it up with the pin for removal. Any ideas on what's preventing the cylinder from turning or what to do?

Ok here's my question. How many ignition switches are there for these trucks? I thought I remember my dad saying there was something like 6 or 8 different ones. And they didn't all interchange. I know his 77 150 custom had a recessed and lighted ingnition switch. But he claimed that was original to the truck, but I swear he changed that. I think he wore out several switches over the years. And that was the last one he put in the truck before giving it to my brother. I was thinking that if possible I might like to put one of those in my 78 150. And yes I already know good luck finding one of those, cause I haven't seen another one since.

Well his was recessed about a 1/2 inch at most in the outer ring bezel of the switch. And it had a green light that emitted around the lock cylinder of the switch. And like I said it was the only one I seen like that. I wonder if the late sixties Mustangs had something like I'm trying to describe and if they would interchange. I also know that my dad is the type of guy that you can't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.
