New 6.7 owner

Well, my trusty 16 year old truck has been having transmission issues for the past few months. My wife refused to put any more money into it, saying we should put any funds into a new(er) one. So we have been doing the truck shopping deal for the past couple-three weeks. In all the ebay ads, Craigslist ads, etc, I've found that a 2011 F250 with fairly low miles were in such high demand that they were only 6 to 7 thousand cheaper than something brand new with no miles (given the rebates and year end clearance sales). So we figured the new one was the way to go.. When I got home from the dealer Monday night after doing paperwork, I posted the dually on CL. It was sold and going out the driveway before 10 am the following morning... Just in time to clean up the driveway, as I picked up the new one two hours later..

Out with the old...

In with the new....

You are going to smile from ear to ear when you hit the throttle. Just like you did when you were 18.

Good deal! Looks like you have enough garage space for the new rig too...

Nice new ride, but boy, that dually was a sweet ride. I'd love to find one in that shape around these parts... Congrats.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah, the 6.7 definitely sets you back in the seat much better than the 7.3 did. My nephew has a Honda S2000 and even he was thoroughly impressed!

I wonder what the difference in capacities are from the '97 to the new one? No doubt the '97 probably rode nicer than the new one though!!!

Actually the new F250 rides better, even with the 4WD. The dually was ok on smooth roads but had a pretty stiff suspension that back roads or pot holes really got your attention.

I have carried a full pallet of 80 lb bags of sakrete in the bed once, and a load of topsoil that peaked about 2/3 up the window. Tested the over rides for sure!
