06 F250 Powerstroke Hauling Capacity
This is my first visit, so hello to everybody! I've got a '06 F-250 4wd Powerstroke diesel. Truck came with 20" wheels and I want to change to tall 17's. I have a major move to make this spring and need all the load capacity I can get. Does anybody have experience with the best length trailer this truck can handle in fifth wheel. Got to buy one, don't know what to get.

Load the truck up with everything you plan to have in it. Then weight it. Look at the VIN tag on your door. Subtract the weight from the GVWR. Repeat the math for both axle GAWR numbers. There's your number for what you can put on the truck.
Use 20% of the GVWR of whatever trailer you're looking at as a guess for 5ver hitch weight. Find a trailer where that number is less than the remaining capacity on your truck.
