Can someone ID this stainless trim?

Hi All Don't know if this is the right forum for this or not.
I'm normally in the 48-56 Ford truck forum but need some help with identifying this stainless trim. I got this along with a pile of Ford stuff that came out of a Ford dealership in LA. This is a Stainless trim piece that measures 95 3/8" long and is about 1 5/16" wide and ~3/4" tall. As you can see in the pics it is open on one end and closed on the other. It is in perfect shape with no dents or dings and only needs some minor buffing to get rid of the shelf scratches. I'm thinking that it must be from a mid 60's truck with a 8 foot bed.
I'd like to find a good home for it if someone is interested. It will be CHEAP!. If I don't get back to this forum anytime soon you can email me at wmrdalydvm@gmail.com
Here's the pics:
closed end

open end:

and the general shape:

Thanks for your help
Bill

Thanks

Thanks for the response. After looking at some pics I think you could be right.
Now Does anyone need this--I'll send it to you FREE if you'll pay for the shipping--probably will need to put it into a 2" piece of PVC to protect it and might get oversize charges as well. but if you need it the price is good.

Trim ID

You can put money on that trim is not bumpside ranger trim how old is this dealership the early 60's ford Sunliners had long quarter panels and they used a trim very similar to what that piece looks like the closed end would be at the door opening and the open end would fit over the corner piece were it made the transition toward the trunk opening just a guess also was this always a ford only dealership good luck what other goodies did you get maybe some NOS black XLT 70' model door panels that you need to get rid of

Well put, good luck on your quest for NOS door panels.

I just had a dream I ordered this trim from you and opened the package, PVC pipe and all, and it wasn't correct for my '72. But then, being as it were a dream, I watched as it changed in my hands to the correct shape. Was weird. This doesn't help any really, just thought I'd share. It's cool that after just a quick read on the forums made it into my dream haha

After looking at some pics of the Sunliners I would have to say it could be a very good guess. They certainly look long enough in that area.

Wmrdalydvm, I don't think it would be wise to sell it as Bumpside trim without a little more investigation.

I agree Rogue--looks like I need to do a bit more investigation to ID this trim--which was the original purpose of the post. To make things clear, I really don't intend to try to sell it because 1) I got it free, 2) I have no use for it, 3) I just wanted to find a good home for it and 4) the folks on FTE have given me a lot of help in the past and I wanted to pay it forward.
I thought with the piece measuring just under 8" it likely was from a long bed, but the one open end ( which seems likely that another piece covers it) did bother me. I'll check out the Sunliners and hopefully find some way to make a positive ID
Thanks for your help
Bill
