If its a open diff then you'll need a locker or a limited slip
If its limited slip them the clutches or worn out

I'm not real smart about these rear ends. If its a limited slip is there a locker you can install? I'm not sure what the code is I will try to get it tonight!

The tag on the axle has the following code on it!
S 126 P
3.55 10 2 7F26

The axle code on the door is 39

Don't know if that helps or not!

Axle code 39 would be 3.55 open diff. If the metal tag doesn't have an L between the 3 and the 55, it's open diff. So your choices are a locker as described above, or a limited-slip diff (not as effective) swapped in. Look for a truck with an axle code of C9 (the code for 3.55 LS).
