2007 5.4 Tranny

I am assuming this truck has a 4R100 tranny. Has anyone added a Transgo shift kit? Please advise. Thanks.

No I don't think so; I should have said it was a Lincoln LT which is a glorified F-150. Sorry for the confusion, my bad.

Give me bad information, you get bad information in return.

The last year the 4R100 was produced was 2004. You have a 4R75E, if I remember right.

Again, sorry for not giving enough information, and thanks for the 4R75E info. Do you have any experience in someone adding a Transgo shift kit in one of these? Thanks again.

curious

Why do you ask about a shift kit?

Is your transmission acting up?

It seems to be slipping when it down shifts.

A shift kit won't necessarilly help a slipping transmission.

Find the cause first. Have codes read, drop the pan and look for any junk.

Yeah, I plan on that. I just thought while they had the pan off, I could add the Transgo. I have used it before on my 2002 7.3 and also have it on my '96 Bronco and it made a big difference in the shifting.

Well I did the Transgo shift kit and it turned out awsome. Great shifting, no slipping and feels like a truck for a change. I can definately recommend it for this tranny.
