Transfer case fluid question

Can you tell me what fluid goes in the transfer case;
1981 ford F-150 or 100 (confused) 4x4 transfer case.

My insurance company has it listed as a F-100 via the VIN
But he fenders have F-150 on them.

I've removed your post from the classified ad in which you posted it, and into its own thread in the correct forum for your truck.

An '81 should have an NP208 transfer case (I'm running two of them in my two 81's). And it takes ATF.

VIN mistake at Allstate??

I gave Allstate this VIN and they have it listed as an F-100

This is what I got from a VIN decoder.

Is there any way from this to confirm the trans and transfer case?

The sticker inside the door was taped/painted over at some pint and is barely readable when the tape was removed.

Thanks.

digits 5,6,7 "F14" shows a regular cab 4wd F-150.

It should be F11 if it were a F-100

Thanks!!

Not sure why Allstate has it as a F-100 unless they list it by series or something.

I guess I will call and see if I need to correct it.

Thanks.
