Leaky thing at top of fuel bowl?

What is the thing called at the top pf the fuel bowl. Drips quite steadly. It has a wire running to it and is kinda shaped like a spiny top (that a kid would play with). I would think since it's at the very top maybe fuel pressure sensor. It shouldn't be the heater because it's to high and the water sensor would be at the bottom.

That is the fuel restriction sensor. Take the wire off of it and take the sensor off. Put an 1/8" pipe plug with some thread sealer on it in the whole. You don't need that sensor.

Ok restriction sensor, for when the fuel filter gets clogged, right. going to put an 1/8" plug in it. I don't think it works anyway. When ever my truck kills, the filter is the first thing I check.

It's really embarrassing when I leave the job with a big fuel stain in the customers driveway.

Whatever you do, dont over tighten the new plug! Cause the housing WILL CRACK! Ask me how I know, I just went through this about a month or so ago, and a new FPR is incredibly expensive! You don't want that kind of trouble.

It probably dripped on the fuel heater plug wire and blew the #22 fuse.

No not yet, but they are calling for it first part of next week. Sounds like they don't know what we might get, they said it could be either rain, slush or snow...Just wonderful...lol

Oh and don't forget to stuff some rags under it so when you drop the plug it doesn't fall into valley of death. Ask me how I know this.

Got it done. Took a couple lines off and fished it out. Cleaned out the mouse nest made out of my hood insulation. The critter probably abandoned it when it got soaked with diesel fuel. HA Thanks again for the help.
