1988 Ford F-150 fuel spewing from neck line
Fuel is spewing out of my front tank neck line, and coming out where you fill
in gas. I changed the filter valve and hoses and tank. I’m confused on why it’s spewing out.
im driving on the back tank and it’s never spewed before. And I changed the exact same thing. Even when I did drive on the front tank with gas in. But as I started driving on the back tank the front tank spewed out gas.
Why is this happening? is my EGR VALVE bad?
or could a line be crossed?
because I changed the full fuel line. excluding fuel injectors and EGR along wit air filters inside engine
in gas. I changed the filter valve and hoses and tank. I’m confused on why it’s spewing out.

I'm a little late to the party but Ford had 2 recalls for that very reason. We had to install check valves on both fuel tank lines and replace the fuel pressure regulator. Both times.
That's what the kit we used looked like and it mattered what engine you had as to which kit was used. I seriously doubt you'll be able to find any of those kits still available so the only cure is to pick one of the fuel tanks to use and pinch off the fuel lines going to the other. Sux I know but it is what it is when you drive an antique.
