I plan on having my carpet and headliner out maybe this winter some time. I'd like to be able to do this then. I doubt I'll do behind the dash though. The noise really isn't a big problem for me, but I would like to do inside the doors, the floor and ceiling to get that "solid" sound you were talking about.

Yeah, it should take out any tinney sounds, that's for sure.

you should leave an airflow path so that pressure can equalize inside the cab. there needs to be airflow.
i am not sure it will matter that much.

OK, it would be no big deal to lift that corner up and make some cuts in the vents.

Yeah, thats the air flow out of the cab from the doors, helps with shutting the doors too.
If you make it too tight the doors will be hard to shut and air cannot flow out.
