Stereo Swap

I just bought this 2008 and the 6 disk changer was not working. It does have the factory installed subwoofer/amp behind the back seat.

The back of the stero has three plugs. A large one, medium and small.
<?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" oreferrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600"></v:shapetype>

I got a 6 disk changer out of a 2010 model and it only has the large and medium plug. Everything works great, radio, all speakers, etc.

The one this that does not work is the subwoofer/amp behind the seat, which leaves me to believe that small, 4 wire plug is for that.

How can i wire that in so that I have an active subwoofer/amp?

All help is greatly appreciated.

I wonder if I could just swap the motherboard from the old to the new one, that way I would have all the connectors. I don't believe there was anything wrong with the motherboard, only the cd changer.

well, changed the board from the 2008 to the 2010, had to cut an additional opening, but everything works great.

Wow - answered your own question!

I have a 6 CD changer that is messed up, but the radio part works fine. I was going to dig it out and look, but seems you don't need any help.

Thanks for letting us know this is possible.
