Well my '12 F250 is finally out of my life.
Only so I could make room for my '13. I have to say the 2012 was a great truck. I had 2 issues in 61,500 miles and a year of ownership.
The first was the slow to go into gear issue. The dealer dropped the tranny to replace the trans pump and messed up the flexplate bolts on the T/C in the process. They replaced both parts and all was well. It quickly engaged when put in gear.
The other issue I had was a bad lift pump. I shut off the truck while I was working and later it would not restart.
Both issues were completely covered by the warranty and I had no deductible. So I can honestly say my first 6.7 experience went pretty well. I'm hoping the second goes the same. They are great trucks. I like the new dash layout on the '13 I didn't want the nav but I still ended up with the MyTouch screen and back up camera which I've been enjoying. I've also noticed the larger brakes are a bit more responsive. These trucks are pretty amazing. I know there is a few members that have had bad experiences with theirs. But I think an overwhelming majority has had good luck. Overall I'm sure that ratio is better than the first 3 years of 6.0 production.

The back up camera is the best part of my truck. That said, they are no where as useful on a 150 or 250 because without the higher rear end you do not get the view of your surroundings.

Not sure if I did this right but we shall see...She's a lil plain Jane right now but once I get a bumper, cab lights, and some nice wheels she'll toughen up.

Great looking rig! I am close to getting Cab Lights on my truck as well. My dealer quoted me approximately $38 per light at 5 lights, and $54 for the harness and another $180 to install them. This works out to $244 for parts, and the $180 for labor. I found the same set of lights and harness together brand new on Ebay for $174 shipped. Just saving you some money

I'm a small business owner and I work the crap out of my trucks.During the work season my payload is about 4k and I'm pulling about 5k for about 45k miles a year. I tried the pay it off and drive it forever method on my 6.0 and the maint and repairs are about the same to drive a new truck every 2 years. The weight isn't as hard on them as is the conditions in which I drive. A lot of idle time. Crazy off road driving while loaded etc. Its just easier and more cost effective to swap em out every 2 years at this point.
