I just purchased an 08 Escape 2wd. In the rear cargo area there is a "black box" that houses the jack. What is under the black box that is bolted to the truck? I believe that it's just a spacer as I've read how the hybrids house their batteries there. True?
Was wondering if anyone had any storage mods OR if anyone housed some subwoofers in that spot.
