Thumbs down camperspecial65 "buyer" beware

Unfortunately I have to post this so others may avoid the same issue. Although I sent funds for a grille and the shipping to camperspecial65, and he stated he would ship as soon as funds cleared, he did not and stated he would multiple times. I see previous posts here from others, I should have looked here first. I will retract this message as soon as this is resolved (items received as represented).

We bought trim from him and he took a few months to ship. Wish we had know up front that it would have taken that long. He was helpful on sending pictures of factory two-tone masking lines, sent those on his own without us asking since he knew we were trying to do a correct restoration. Seems like a nice guy that's backed up on getting parts out?

I have bought from him and it was a good transaction
I have sold parts and have had a good transaction but if buyer expects a seller with the limits of cks clearing the bank boxing the parts shipping across the country in short order you may expect to much I think he will make good on your deal

To clarify: I do not expect too much on my end when making any purchase. Seller had my funds (cleared) quite long enough and asked repeatedly for my shipping info which was sent multiple times over the course of 2 months. Sorry, but in this day and age of processing, shipping, etc., when money is received by seller, the items should ship same day or within several days - not weeks and not have seller ignoring emails or calls. Nice guy perhaps, reasonable to deal with as a parts re-seller, NO.

I think in the spirit of the FTE classifieds one could make an honest effort to get the buyer the items within a reasonable time....I have emailed him .

AN HONEST effort means a week or two at the most (after funds have been received) to to send the items.
My prediction is he will make it good
