ecoboost exhaust

Well, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and order a 4" heartthrob exhaust. This is my first post in this section. I got rid of my "07 5.4 Lariat for a '13 ecoboost Platty. Love this truck. Hoping to post back with results. Eventually.

Not really after the sound aspect. More interested in the hp/tq gains. A v6 with exhaust sounds like a v6 with exhaust.

being that the heartthrob kit is aluminized steel, i'd suggest keeping the stocker stashed away so you can put it back on in 4-5 years when the other one rusts out.

maybe your neck of the woods is better than mine, but i will NEVER replace a stock system again with aluminized tubing ...

I just installed a Corsa Catback on a friends 12' F150 Ecoboost and it is awesome. It sounds way better than I expected and he said he noticed an immediate seat of the pants difference. And it's not loud until you really romp on it and are up there in the rpms. After seeing the inside of the muffler though (pretty much straight pipe with some cut outs) I would just replace the muffler with a straight pipe and see if that wouldn't be too loud for my liking before I spent the money on an exhaust.

I went with mbrp 3.5 single stainless. Sounds awesome and works well with bully dog intake and tuner.
