'99 F250 SD Wheel / Tire Question

I know this has been beat to the ground based off the searches I just ran, but never really saw a clear answer. Hopefully this will put an end to the madness. I bought a '99 F250 SD Ext Cab 4 Door SWB with 5.4L / AT. 4x4 I have done some work to it, and now am on to the next part. When I bought it it had a lift, some spacers, and after market rims / tires on it. I am soon to buy a boat and camper and am also due for new tires. When Uncle Sam send my check next year, I plan on doing something. What is currently on the truck is a 20" wheel, some spacers (not sure of the tires), and I would assume a lift by the height. The tires currently scrub when I cut sharp (not at home now, but think they are 275/65/20). I want to go back to something closer to stock sizes with an E rated tire. This is what I was thinking based off of hours of reading posts:

16" x 8" wheel, with 0mm offset & 4.5" of backspacing. (8x170 bolt pattern)
285/16/75 tires

I plan on taking the lift off and spacers and going back stock. Will this wheel / tire combination fit without ANY rubbing on the stock height without spacers? If not, can someone tell me what needs to be adjusted?

I was also reading about the 4.93" diameter center hole (Pilot Bore) due to the hub centric wheel requirement. Will look into that after back spacing / offset it confirmed.

PLEASE HELP!

Not sure about the backspacing however check the local craigslist for stock 16" wheels. They are all ove for a few hundred with decent tires.

I've been considering stock, but I have always changed my vehicle wheels just for looks. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find an aftermarket set with the stock dimensions and the pilot bore requirement so I was considering a taller / wider rim, just wanted to know what offset and backspacing would be needed on the 16x8 before I start gauging a dimension change. Can anyone else chime in with some solid info?

I read a bit more after work and found out the stock rim is 16x7", with +6mm offset. Looking at the chart below that means 4.25" backspacing. So looking at the chart, if I wanted to go to a 18x9" wheel. I would go with the 9" wheel with offset -19 mm / 4.25" backspacing.

Is that theory correct or am I missing something? It seems the most common 18" wheel is 9" wide, and most common offset closes to -19mm is -12mm. I did find a -24mm, but it was like $300 more.

I have read people were running 285/75/16 without rub on the factory wheel. I would run a 265/70/18 on a -12mm offset 18x9. Would I scrub? Thats about 1/3" closer than the stock wheel but a slightly narrower tire. .2" shorter also.

Or a 20x9 with -12 offset with 285-55/20 nitto grapplers. Also a slightly smaller tire, but same width. Then I wouldn't have to sacrifice going from 20s down to 18s or 16s.
