Front Brake Drums for 50 F1???

I can't find a new set of Front Brake Drums for my 50 F1 anywhere. If anyone knows where a set of these are I would appreciate the info.

Either LMC or Mac's should have them.

What I said on FB is this, which I culled from an old FTE thread:

Early '80's F-150 REAR drums are just 1/4" wider than the F-1 front shoes, apparently fit well, and almost a year of use reported no problems. They are real easy to find. NAPA P/N 4401455 -- some question in follow-up posts that it matters whether you ask for 2WD or 4WD, it affects the hole size. Would be nice to finalize the info.

I think I bought the last set in the US at Vanpeltsales.
Thanks for all the leads though.

That's interesting, I bought a full set two years ago from LMC. Glad you found what you needed.

All those guys who buy these trucks and immediately remove the front axle need to pay attention to this thread. Those brake drums have some value.

It's kind of an interesting new phase for those of us with stock Bonus Builts. Might have to upgrade a system not for the perceived improvement in performance, but simply because unique original parts just aren't available. (Although in this case it appears the chinese are casting some new drums that will get here around January).

That's why I went to electronic ignition; how many "bad 6v condenser" stories have we heard?! And those are the simplest pieces to make.

I know MacVP has been unable to get anyone to make some of the retaining clips used in the 3-sp's, has just been running off old stock. Wouldn't it suck to have a good, complete trans that can't be used just because you're missing a $1 retaining clip?!

Do you have a part number for this clip, Ross or tell me where it goes?
