Blew it ?

Back when I built my 410 engine I installed victor reinz head gaskets . Well my engine got the best of this first set of head gaskets and blew the # 3 on the passenger side nearly oblong towards the top . Never seen one like this before . Most probably the reason behind my plug fouling and overheating , not to menschen my motor oil was going sour looking . Glad I quit driving it for the summer . Now its a set of fel pro head gaskets . To see how long they last .

Make sure you chase the head bolt threads with a tap and lightly lube the threads when you torque the heads down. In my opinion, number one (or two or three) reason for blown head gaskets after a DIY job, bad torque readings.

Done it myself

The 6,0 diesel folks have had their share of problems with those head gaskets.
