I don't know for sure on a 52, but the 48-50 F1 fenders have a smaller opening than an F3. I'm pretty sure that the same goes for the 52's. The fenders should bolt right up you just want to make sure the other side matches. Other than wheel well openings and longer boxes the rest of the sheet metal should be the same.
