We've been talking about this since this summer, it's time to go to Hinkley, CA.

We'll meet up at the gas station around 10AM and do some http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinkley_groundwater_contamination.

If you're like Aidie and me, you'll stop in at Frosty's before for a snack.

You may want to make a weekend of this and wander the sights nearby
or just stop in and say hi to the Bottle man after.

For those wanting to camp, plenty of yellow BLM ground nearby. Great chance for our newest or So Cal desert members to join in on a G2G away from LA.

It's the weekend before SEMA. I would like to do it - but I'll need to check back the week before to see if I can make it.

 

Headed to Phoenix that Monday night after for the second to last Nascar weekend. It becomes a week long event, headed back the following Monday after the races. All 3 series running that weekend. Yes, the desert there will be nice too.

 

I'll have to check with the wife. I have a test on Nov. 1, but can't remember if we had plans to be out of town on the 2nd/3rd.

 

Can't make it. Kids have soccer games that day. Sorry fellas!

I really should have gone to the gathering at El Dorado Regional Park. I forgot it was happening until it was too late. That is why I am going to try to keep up with this local chapter...so I don't keep missing local stuff!!!

Carol, Bocephus, and I will be going up Friday night. Staying at Calico. Making a weekend of it.

My internet has been out all week. May not be back up for a few more days. Once I leave work I am offline.

 

I should do the same, otherwise, I will have to leave at 6am Saturday morning in order to get there by 10am. Most likely I will take the F350, even though it does not get the greatest mpg of all my vehicles, but the lights work at night like they are supposed to. If the cruise control worked on the XJ-S I would take that since it gets the best mpg of all my current running vehicles (which is surprising since it has a V12). Maybe I can use my cane as a cruise control? LOL
