EGR Cooler hose leak

My "Blue" hose (the replacement hose for the orange hose between the egr and the oil cooler) is leaking. Under pressure it drips pretty fast and I have gone through about 1/2 gallon of coolant in a week. When I loosen the degas cap and relieve the pressure it stops fairly quickly after I do this.
My question is this, can I run with a loosened degas cap until I receive the hose I ordered or do I need to pop the hood and relieve the pressure any time I am going to park? How important is it for the coolant system to be fully pressurized?

Thanks for any assistance.
