Help needed determining asking price

This is not a classified ad

What is a fair asking price for a 2001 Excursion limited V10 with low miles?

What do you consider low miles? I bought my 2002 in April for $11k with 42k miles on it.

I sold my 02' with 228k for 7500 but she was in perfect shape. It took me 10 minutes to sell on CL.

Give us some more clarity bro....Define 'low miles' in your opinion?

The other major factor is what "condition" it's in?

Then we can better answer your question!

He bought it with 67k. Lets assume it has about 80k miles now? Assuming it's in good condition - between 9000-9500?

All depends on where you're located too. If you're in an area where the economy isn't so good (like Michigan), look up the blue book value, sit there and cry at it that you'll never ever get that for it, and drop it a couple thousand from there. Then you might get some bites. Did that with two vehicles around here so far, one being an Excursion. I sold my '02 Limited V10 with 132k for 8500.

If you're in a better area of the country, you might be able to get blue book or close to it, but don't assume that. If someone can' buy it with cash (even though at this price range, they might), they might have a hard time getting an amount at blue book or over approved by the bank.

low mile Ex's start at 10-12k here and go up to nearly 20k. That's not even touching the Diesels!

That's nice and clean. Depending on your list of mods between 11k and 15k also depends on where you live. In the bay area I got mine in decent shape for 9 Keith 145k on it

Shoot! I hate to see you go

With those 20's on there you should get top dollar. That, and The condition DOES look very nice. Not sure what the market is like in your neck of the woods, but it seems like $10-15k should work. That is super low miles, really. Especially on an '01.

Best of luck to you.

Sincerely,
Karl

With the upgraded wheels, and based on appearance and condition

in the photos, I wouldn't sell it for a penny less than $8,500. But be

prepared for low ball offers, they worried me to death when I had

my 2003 V-10 with 50,000+ miles for sale.

Wow, in my neck of the woods (NW) that would sell for 12-15k.

Yep, hold out for top dollar if possible. The X isn't a Civic. It is very hard to find a clean one with low miles. The X is now a niche vehicle, they don't build them anymore so someone that is looking for this specific vehicle will pay good $$$$ for it.

BTW, my 77k mile 02 XLT Premium V-10 with 4.30 gears is as clean as yours! Hopefully i can get top dollar for it eventually.

Real world value? That should fetch around 9500. That is being realistic and a number that you could sell it fairly quick.

It is a gas v-10 and the unfair reputation of being so horrid on gas mileage is an issue because we do live in a world with fuel prices being so high. The other problem with that is there are diesel excursions out there and although that v10 gas might be a fine machine...the diesels get the attention....in turn allowing them to be a stronger used vehicle piece from a dollar and demand perspective. It looks nice though.

Good luck
