I had a Lifter on my 89 lose it's keeper & bent the Push Rod.
I had a 93 for parts but found out the Lifters are different & the Push rod in the 93 is Shorter than the one in the 89.

I thought all 3.0 in the Aerostars were the same.

 

changeover to the roller hydraulic lifters Ford did on many of their engines in that time period.
