Mid 70 Ford Truck Front Leaf Springs

I believe I have a donar set of front springs out of a Mid 70's Ford Pickup F-100-350. The second leaf after the main leaf has an open loop on one end that fits around one of the eye bushings on the main leaf. Can anyone tell me which way the loop in the second leaf faces, front or rear of truck?

Most I have seen are in the front, but to the best of my knowledge Ford did not use them on the 70s F-Series.
