Pigeon Forge Rod Run and Car Show.

Heading up to PF on the 12th of Sept. for the rod run. I was up there last year and the whole parkway was lined up with every old car and truck you can imagine. Hope the weather allows me to go.

I was in PF about 3 weeks ago. The Grand hotel is completely shut down and undergoing a full renovation. I wonder who's hosting the rod run nowadays. Not that it matters considering the entire town becomes the show........

I was in PF for the Spring Hot Rod Run and it was at the new LeConte center. It will be at the same place this week. Very nice place.

Just drove by the Grande Hotel. The whole project looks like it has been abandoned. Nothing has changed in probably a year based on what I remember.

I was there this past week also and it looked to me like progress has stalled.

It's pretty ironic considering the Sevierville/PF area is exploding all around it.

I don't know if it's a stall for permits or otherwise, but the company that now owns the property is a really big time hotel group. Their plans for the Grand are pretty grandiose and if completed to plans will most certainly never host another car show.
