Plastic in oil pan

Just changed the oil and dropped the pan in my 02 expedition. The pickup tube was 100%clogged and also found plastic pieces in the pan and bottom of the engine. I can't see where it ce from and was wondering if it was vandalism or what. I had no oil pressure thats why I dropped it.

I saw pictures of this a year or so ago here in FTE. I think cam chain tensioners. They're made if plastic. There is an improved type now due to the failure. Alloro may post back as he seems to know more about this. Try using search on FTE and google for this. Plenty of pictures showing the rubble in the oil pan and pickup.
