I thought I was the only one who felt that way. Although it is better than another unflattering term that is sometimes used. This was the model that started the aero nose design (just my opinion of course).

OP, check out my gallery for a some old pics of my truck. Sorry for the poor quality pics; taken with an Instamatic camera, and scanned with late 90's scanner lol. She doesn't look like that right now. The original hood is back on, the custom front bumper is gone as well. I need to do some rust repair on the hood, and possibly use it as a plug for a fiberglass or carbon fiber version; no, not doing the Ricer-look with an unpainted CF hood. Also will install a painted, Belltech urethane front bumper cover. Sometimes I wish I ordered a short bed, gives it a sportier look.

Hows is this for customization? http://http://www.flickr.com/photos/21626943@N05/3327054341

I followed the link to check out your truck, and the only thing that popped up was a pic of a Ford concept truck? Did a little digging and couldn't find any other pics of what you were describing. What gives?

My Baby...An ongoing project. Bought for a $1000 with 49k original miles, From Tenn. 1988 XLT w/ a 351w/C6. The 3.55s were swapped to 4.10s by the PO. Sat for 3 years until I drug it home. PO hacked up the wiring harness in an attempt to convert it to carb.

The Day I brought it home. Rebuilt the 600 4bbl, replaced the 2bbl Ford intake with a Weiand Stealth, DSII swap, replaced every piece of rubber and all fluids, Repacked all the bearing/seals. Fixed the timing(was 180 out) Fired right up. Drove it for just over a year and put about 7500 on it when the crank walked and blew both the front and rear main seals.

Pulled the motor and trans for a rebuild. Replaced the rotting core support, cleaned and painted the core support, inner fenders, firewall and frame.

Before paint

After Paint

Motor and trans: 358 cu in.(.040 over), Lightning GT40 heads Ported and Polished, Port matched, Comp Roller conversion, Weiand Stealth Port Matched, KB Forged pistons, 9.5:1 c/r, Balanced, Headman Full length headers into 3in custom y-pipe and full 3in exhuast out stock location, Bromaster 40 and one single 3in Summit electric cutout, Full MSD ing, 6AL,...C6 trans with E4OD 1st gear swap, HD Towtruck Clutch Drum, Redline Clutchpacks, HD bands, shift kit, 10in 1800-2200 stall converter. 440+ hp est.

Some Custom Touches

Before the cutout motor was installed

And All cleaned up

It's my All-Around ride...I cruise it, take it to shows, DD it, It sees some off road time(not since the rebuild). And it makes for a fun time to embarrass Mustangs and the ricers at the stoplights. Still along way from where I want it. But slowly getting there.

Subscribing as love seeing pics of all years trucks. Wish I could contribute but our trucks defiantly are not restored or built completely and only 4 of our 8 trucks are in the customization spot right now (1 being built to run). Everybody has great looking trucks though. You can see our trucks in my sig pic though minus the 2 89s.

here's my 89 I have been working on for the last 2 years. 7.3 E4OD, 113k when I got it, now at almost 122k. Truck sat for about a decade from being in a wreck. Still has a little air intrusion somewhere, but otherwise runs and drives great. Had to replace the front clip and pass. door. Its my first truck and I love it to death

My truck has had more done to it mechanically than cosmetically I would say. This is how I got it from my BIL who bought it new:

It was 300 Six, E4OD trans, 2WD, bench seat, manual windows and locks. Now it is 460, ZF5, 4WD, captain's chairs, power windows and locks. I found it was easier to build what I wanted than to find one already duded up this way.
